Joint Statistical Meetings, August 2-7, Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, 415 Summer Street, Boston, MA. JSM (the Joint Statistical Meetings) is the largest gathering of statisticians held in North America. Attended by more than 6,000 people, meeting activities include oral presentations, panel sessions, poster presentations, continuing education courses, an exhibit hall (with state-of-the-art statistical products and opportunities), career placement services, society and section business meetings, committee meetings, social activities and networking opportunities.
Summer Institute in Survey Research Techniques, June 2-July 25, 2014. The Summer Institute in Survey Research Techniques is a teaching program of the Survey Research Center at the Institute for Social Research. It is located on the central campus of the University of Michigan at 426 Thompson Street in Ann Arbor. The summer courses are select offerings from the Michigan Program in Survey Methodology, and can be used to pursue a doctorate, master of science and a certificate in survey methodology.
